EARLY VOTING INFORMATION

Early Voting begins in Connecticut this year, and the next election in Canton to qualify for Early Voting is the Municipal Election. The Municipal Election will take place on November 4, 2025. Early voting for the Municipal Election will be held for fourteen days, October 20th through November 2nd. The early voting polling place will be the Canton Community Center. The early voting polling place will be open for voting each of the early voting days (10/20/25 – 10/27/25, 10/29/25, 10/31/25-11/2/25) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. & (10/28/25 & 10/30/25) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

To vote early, the voter will need to be a registered voter in Canton. Voting will be in person, at the polling place and voters must check-in and present identification. Once checked in, the voter will receive the appropriate ballot and ballot envelope. After marking their ballot, the voter will put the ballot into the ballot envelope and sign the outside of the envelope, affirming they are eligible to vote in Canton.

The voter will then insert their signed and sealed envelope in the ballot box (provided). Each day’s signed ballot envelopes will be securely stored in the Town Hall vault. On Election Day (November 4, 2025), the early voting ballots will be opened and counted at the polling place. In person, “day of” Municipal Election voting will be on November 4, 2025 at the Canton High School from 6:00AM - 8:00PM.
