Temporary Part-Time Youth Service Bureau Community Facilitator

The Town of Canton seeks applicants for the position of Temporary Part Time Youth Service Bureau Community Facilitator. This position is temporary at approximately 10 hours per week until June 30, 2023, unless extended by the Board of Selectmen. The rate of pay for the position is $27.00-$34.00 per hour based on education and experience.

The Youth Service Bureau Community Facilitator will assist the Youth Service Bureau to effectively facilitate community coalitions as well as an understanding of community strategies utilized to address equity, areas of need for development of programming, and promote mental health with an intergenerational approach. The Youth Service Bureau Community Facilitator will also assist the Youth Service Bureau with implementing youth and family programs and interact with Parks & Recreation to coordinate programs, data and grants. 

A bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Education, Social Science, Counseling, Social Work or some closely related field, and two (2) years of experience in youth and family services including experience in working with community coalitions or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.
