Senior/Social Services Director

The Town of Canton is seeking candidates for the position of Senior/Social Services Director.

The Director of Senior/Social Services oversees the Town’s Senior Center and the Town’s social service’s needs. The Director of Senior/Social Services plans, organizes, develops and directs a comprehensive program of recreational, social, health, wellness, and cultural activities for citizens fifty-five years of age and older.  The Director of Senior/Social Services also oversees the social services related functions of the Town including processing applications, assessing needs, providing referrals and other related services to those in need. The position is full time with a salary range of $67,000 to $73,000. A Master’s Degree in social work, human services, gerontology or a closely related area, with two (2) years of increasingly responsible related work experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of related work experience is required.
