Permit sticker fees are listed below for residents. For an additional $5.00 you may purchase a sticker for use on another vehicle in the household with proof of registration.

Between January 1 and March 31    $175.00
Between April 1 and June 30    $130.00
Between July 1 and September 30    $85.00
Between September 1 and December 31    $40.00

To purchase your 2026 sticker, send to the Town Clerk:
  1. Completed information on this form (credit card info accepted)
  2. A copy of vehicle registration for each car in need of a sticker
  3. A check payable to the ‘Town of Canton’
  4. A self addressed stamped envelope (SASE) to return permit sticker

HOLIDAY HOURS

Two (2) Part time employees maintain Municipal Solid Waste, Single Stream Recycling, Bulky Waste, Swap Shack Items and all other Recyclables.  Approximately 1,500 households use the Transfer Station.

Used Items

The Transfer Station has a Swap Shack where permit holders are allowed to drop off or pick up "Gently Used - Working" items.

Bulk Waste

Bulky waste and one-time use fees can now be paid for directly at the Transfer Station with either a personal check or a debit/credit card. Cash will not be accepted.

Facility Use

Annual Transfer Station stickers are available through the Town Clerk's office.  Use this form.

All residents MUST send a photocopy of their vehicle registration for each car in need of a sticker.

The permit sticker fee varies by time of year for residents. For an additional $5.00 you may purchase a sticker for use on another vehicle in the household with proof of registration.
