NOTICE OF AUCTION TO BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18, 2026
The Town of Canton will hold a public auction on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., at the Canton Transfer Station, Ramp Road, Collinsville, CT 06022.The purpose of the auction is to sell the abandoned personal property of evicted residential tenant Richard Lemanski, Sr. and Patricia Santopietro who was evicted from 270 Cherry Brook Road Apt 1S, Canton, Connecticut. The items have been stored by the Town of Canton pursuant to section 47a42a (c) of the Connecticut General Statutes. The property will be sold by the Town of Canton. All items will become the possession of the highest bidder. Property is to be sold "as is." The property will be sold without warranty or representation of any kind as to its condition or title. It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to remove all possessions from the property on or before Friday, March 27, 2026 by 2:00 p.m. The successful bid must be paid in cash immediately following the auction. If there are no bids, we will dispose of the property. Sale is subject to cancellation in the event of settlement between the Town and the owner of the property.
