Cherry Brook Primary School Partial Roof Replacement
Connecticut State Project No.: TMP-023-QPVR

The Town of Canton, through its Chief Administrative Officer (“CAO”), is seeking bids for the partial roof replacement to the Cherry Brook Primary School. One (1) original sealed bid for the above-named Invitation must be received in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Canton Town Hall, 2nd Floor, 4 Market Street Collinsville, CT by 11:30 am local time on April 1, 2015, at which time all bids will be publicly opened in the second floor Conference Room of the Canton Town Hall. The Town of Canton will reject bids received after that date and time.

The Bid package and any applicable addenda may be obtained below

Addenda will be posted at least three (3) calendar days prior to bid opening. Said addenda, which shall be a part of this Invitation to Bid and which shall be incorporated into the Contract, shall contain all questions received and responses/decisions to same. Each bidder is responsible for checking the website to determine if the Town has issued an addendum or addenda and, if so, to complete its bid in accordance with the Invitation as modified by the addenda.

All potential bidders are advised that there shall be a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting held on March 18, 2015 at the project site at 3:30 PM local time.

The minimum rates to be paid labor of the various classifications shall be in accordance with current schedule of wages established by the State Labor Commissioner as provided in the General Statutes of Connecticut, as revised.

Bidders that find discrepancies and/or errors in or between plans, specifications, quantities, and other matters, must immediately notify the Project Administrator in writing not less than five (5) days before the scheduled bid opening.

No bid shall be withdrawn before sixty (60) calendar days after the date of the bid opening. The Town of Canton, CT reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bids received. See Instructions to Bidders, Section 21 for further information.

In accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sections 4a-100 and 4b-91, a responsible bid must also contain the following two (2) documents: The Contractor Prequalification Certificate and the Update (Bid) Statement. The classification ROOFING is required as a minimum.
