To Obtain a Marriage License

    • If you answered "YES" to both of these questions, you need to obtain a marriage license at the Canton Town Clerk's office.
  • Call the Town Clerk's office for an appointment (860-693-7870)
  • Complete the Marriage License Worksheet and send it to the Town Clerk at least 1 business day in advance of your appointment
  • Bring photo identification and $50 (cash/check/charge) to the appointment
Although you don't have to appear at the same time, both the bride and groom must appear in person before the Town Clerk
