4/2/2025 - A message from the Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds

April 2, 2025

Dear Canton Community,

Due to the mild winter and as a preventative measure, the grounds of Cherry Brook Primary School will be treated for ticks.  We have obtained the service of a certified applicator to apply TALSTAR P with an active ingredient of Bifenthrini to the tree lines and around the playgrounds at Cherry Brook Primary School.

The application will take place, weather permitting, on Monday, April 14, 2025. Access to school grounds at Cherry Brook Primary School will be prohibited on Monday, but will reopen on Tuesday April 15, 2025. This application will remove the majority of the ticks on the property.

The progress of the application will be monitored and reapplied as necessary.  Please contact me if you have any questions at RFerrari@townofcantonct.org.
