Lifeguard
Certifications Required: Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
Responsible for maintaining patron safety at Mills Pond Pool at all times. Required to use good judgment when making decisions, use of proper surveillance techniques and risk management to prevent injury and harm. Must respond to emergency situations following appropriate procedures depending on situation.
General Duties:
• Supervise patron safety by active enforcement of facility rules
• Ensure quality customer service through professional conduct when addressing patrons
• Reports to work at least 10 minutes prior to their assigned shift
• Maintains highest level of safety and risk management at all times
• Participates and attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings
• Completes necessary facility and equipment checks as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
American Red Cross Lifeguarding (includes First Aid)
American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
