Recreation Coordinator (Full Time)
Canton Parks & Recreation – Canton, CT
The Town of Canton seeks applicants for the position of Recreation Coordinator. This position is a full time position at 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, with the need for flexibility for occasional night & weekend events. The rate of pay for the position is $21.83.
The Recreation Coordinator will assist the Recreation Supervisor and Director of Parks & Recreation in the coordination of a comprehensive public recreation program for the community including after school programming, summer/vacation camps and special events. The position will also include programming, marketing and supporting the Youth Services Bureau, including oversight of the Town’s teen center on Friday nights.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Recreation, Parks and Recreation Administration, or a closely related field is preferred although a candidate currently enrolled seeking such a degree would be considered. Related experience conducting organized recreational/youth service activities and varied administrative responsibilities is a plus.
