The upper tennis courts at Mills Pond Park are now OPEN! The lower tennis courts & basketball courts at Mills Pond Park will remain closed until further notice, due to necessary repairs.
The Elevator is currently out of service in Town Hall until further notice. For special accommodations from specific departments, please call 860-693-7841.

6/30/2024 - Road Closures ~ DPW & Eversource are Aware

ROAD CLOSURES

There are multiple downed power lines and trees blocking roadways throughout town. Canton DPW and Eversource are working hard to keep up with clearing the debris and restoring power. Eversource has been notified and are in the area.

Please avoid any unnecessary travel and avoid downed power lines.

CURRENTLY CLOSED/UNPASSABLE ROADS:

  • River Road (Town Bridge to Bridge Street) Trees & Wires Down

  • Birch Knoll (Closer to Route 44)

  • Country Lane (BLOCKED - no way in or out)

  • Gemstone & Erickson

  • Senior Center - Garden Area has down trees & wires

Please treat all down wires as LIVE wires. Please stay home and be safe.
