Notice of West Mountain Sycamore Tree Maintenance-Week of 2/26/24-3/1/24

The sycamore tree located at the intersection of West Mountain and Cherry Brook Road is scheduled for maintenance recommended by the Town Tree Warden, Thomas Richardson and CT Arborist, Steven Bristol. Work will include cutting back the encroaching pavement from the trunk flare at the base of the tree to allow for growth and remove any dirt and debris that is piled up against the trunk of the tree. Work will take place the week of 2/26/24-3/1/24, weather permitting. Please see the maintenance recommendations BELOW. The roadway will be open to local traffic at all times during this maintenance work, with possible delays. Thank you for your cooperation as we try to improve our trees and roadways in the Town of Canton. If you have any questions, please call the Department of Public Works at (860) 693-7863.
