The Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 7:00pm in Room F at the Canton Community Center, 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton, Connecticut. The meeting will be hybrid format so that people will be able to view and participate in the public hearing remotely or in-person at the Canton Community Center.
The purpose of the public hearings will be to take comments on the following:
1) A proposed ordinance, entitled Tax Abatement Ordinance For Canton Volunteer Fire and EMS Department Personnel, that creates a property tax abatement for eligible Canton Volunteer Fire and EMS Department volunteers. The ordinance can be viewed on the Town’s web site at www.townofcantonct.org.
