On Sunday October 9th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Shops at Farmington Valley, Fire Departments from Avon, Burlington and Canton will be marking the start of National Fire Prevention Week with fire safety information and an opportunity to learn about volunteering as a firefighter or EMT.  This year marks the 100th Anniversary of Fire Prevention Week and is a great time to think about safety in the home and learn how to help your family remain safe.  Explore the apparatus and meet firefighters and EMT's from our communities.  Towns are in need of volunteers and there is no better time to respond to the question, "If not you, then who?"
