The Friends of the Canton Public Library are once again preparing for the Fall Book Sale which will be held on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the volunteer group.

We are looking for donations of gently used books, CDs and audiobooks for our sale.

The Book Drive will start on June 20 and run until August 24.

Books can be left in the Library Program Room during normal library hours. We ask that you please check your donations first as we can only accept items in good, clean, saleable condition with no highlighting, underlining or torn pages. We cannot accept records, magazines, cassette tapes, DVDs, condensed books, Time-Life series, textbooks, encyclopedias, foreign language books or dictionaries.

Anyone interested in helping out is welcome to join the Friends when we sort the books in the Library Program Room on Tuesday evenings during the summer from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

The Friends thank the Canton community for all your support in helping us make this a successful fundraiser. This year we presented the Canton Public Library with a check for $20,000. This is in addition to the various purchases we have made during the year to support the library.
