The Memorial Day holiday weekend is coming up.  Canton Town offices and the Canton Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 27th.
The Transfer Station will be open this week and next with a regular schedule of Tuesday & Saturday 7am-3pm & Thursday 11am-7pm.

And don't forget...the 2019 Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for May 27th at 10am...

We are fast approaching Memorial Day, a time to remember and appreciate the ultimate sacrifice that our service men and women have made. Please join this year's Grand Marshal, Greg Sims, as he leads the parade on Monday, May 27th. If you are a Veteran and would like to march or ride in the parade, please contact Claudia Nardi, Executive Assistant to CAO & First Selectman at (860) 693-7841. We can arrange for you to be picked up prior to the event. In addition, the Canton Community Center will be open to all Veterans for coffee and donuts on parade day at 8:45 a.m.

Civic or youth groups that wish to march are also welcome to join; if interested in joining please contact Claudia at (860) 693-7841. All groups should plan to gather at the Canton Intermediate School at 9:30 a.m.

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. heading south on Dyer Ave; taking a right onto Maple Ave; taking a left onto Main Street; taking a right onto Center Street and proceeding to the Village Cemetery where a memorial service will be held.

Whether you are marching or viewing from the parade route, I hope you are able to join us as we honor our Veterans on May 27th.
