REQUESTING COMMUNITY INPUT FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING

The Canton Senior and Social Services Department is seeking community input via an online-based survey.  The department holds a number of responsibilities within the town of Canton and has embarked on a strategic planning endeavor.  The first step in collecting input as to how the department is doing and what kinds of areas they should prioritize in their work is a community survey.

 A link to the survey has been placed on the town's website and is also available in hard copy by stopping into the office, which is located in the lower level of the Community Center at 40 Dyer Avenue.

This project to guide the Town of Canton Senior and Social Services for the next 5 years started as a charge that came from the leadership in town.  The department administers social services and hosts events and programs through the Senior Center as well.  All Canton residents and anyone who has interacted with the department are encouraged to provide input. 
It is intended to gather feedback on our current programs and services as well as future needs. 

The survey is 10 questions and should take about 3 minutes to complete.  The survey will be open through Sunday, January 6, 2019.   

Members of the temporary Senior & Social Services Strategic Planning Committee and the Commission on Aging will be at the following locations with paper copies of the surveys at the following locations and days.  If you do not wish to or do not have the capability to take the online survey, you may pick one up or drop it off to these locations on these days:

21 Dowd Avenue, Community Room 12/17 from 9-11am
Canton Food Bank 12/18 from 8-10:30am
Canton ShopRite 12/18 from 11am-2pm
CRT Senior Lunches 12/19 and 12/21 from 11am-1pm
LaSalle Market & Deli 12/21 from 8-10am

Canton Senior & Social Services is dedicated to working hard to ensure the health, wellness and well-being of all the residents of the town of Canton.  The office oversees all programming within and associated with the Senior Center, while administering all federal and state programs and assisting in the application and follow-up process for all resources made available to clients.
