9/8/2018 - Got Books? Books needed for annual book drive

This is the time of year when the Friends of the Canton Public Library hold their annual Book Drive. The group is asking the community for donations of used books. All books donated must be in good, saleable condition with no underlining, highlighting, mildew, torn pages or broken spines. We cannot accept encyclopedias, Time-Life Series, or magazines and are no longer accepting DVDs or CDs. The Book Drive will run from June 18 until August 25th. Donations can be dropped off at the Program Room of the Library during normal Library hours.  This is a great time to check your bookshelves for any books which your children may have outgrown or that you may have already read.

The Friends will be sorting books on Tuesday evenings in the program room of the library from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. starting on Tuesday, June 20th. All are welcome to come and lend a hand, and this is a wonderful way to meet the Friends and find out what we are all about.

The Fall Book Sale will be held on Saturday, September 8th and Sunday, September 9th, so mark your calendars. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year, and it is a wonderful opportunity to get some great deals on books and help provide support to the library.
