2/24/2018 - CANCELLED: Moonlight Hike Feb 24

Land Trust Moonlight Hike Cancelled

Sadly, the Canton Land Conservation Trust has made the difficult decision to cancel its annual Moonlight Hike, which was scheduled for this Sat. Feb. 24. The combination of rainy weather predicted throughout this week and continuing into the weekend and unseasonably warm temps will likely result in poor trail conditions. Muddy trails and potential showers do not bode well for a luminaria-lined hiking trail through the woods.

The Land Trust invites you to enjoy its many trails at any time on your own, and also to join its monthly guided hikes. The next guided hike will be Sun. March 25, 1:30 p.m. of the Barbour Woods and Sweeton Trails.

Trail guides, including pocket guides and Google Maps guides, are available on the Canton Land Trust website.

The Canton Land Conservation Trust is a non-profit conservation organization formed in 1972 to acquire, preserve and protect land of scenic, natural or historic value within the Town of Canton; to maintain this land and its plant and animal life using the best conservation, wildlife habitat and forestry practices available; and to promote public awareness, understanding and enjoyment of the land. The Land Trust manages more than 2,000 acres in Canton.
