9/9/2015 - Donations and Volunteers Needed at the Canton Food Bank

Donations and Volunteers Needed at the Canton Food Bank

We are very thankful for the contributors who regularly donate food and money, but as always, people were away for the summer and our resources have gotten very low. Please consider donating some non-perishable food over the next few weeks. We are especially in need of canned fruit, bottled juice, tuna, soup, cereal, and pasta sauce. We can also accept produce from your garden if you’re overwhelmed with squash, tomatoes, etc. Perishable items must be dropped off at the Food Bank located in Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Rd., Collinsville on Tuesday mornings only from 8 – 10:30 am. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the Food Bank anytime.

A fundraiser for the Food Bank is scheduled for Tues., Sept., 22 from 5 – 9 pm at Flatbread Pizza in the Shoppes. Come by and dine in or take out that evening to support the Food Bank!

Also, we are currently in need of volunteers to shop. Must be available during the mornings or early afternoons on weekdays and must be able to carry large quantities of groceries. Please consider helping!
For more information, please call Madeleine Drummey (860) 693-8081.
