Flatbread Fundraiser to Benefit Canton League of Women Voters

The Flatbread Company in the Shoppes at Farmington Valley, Canton, will host the League of Women Voters of Canton for a fundraiser on Tuesday, September 15 from 5 pm on. A share of all sales – both from dining-in or ordering-out - will benefit the community work of the League of Women Voters of Canton. Enjoy a pizza and a Candidate Meet and Greet. All candidates for the Canton municipal elections have been invited. The famous Canton League themed baskets will again be available for raffle. For additional information about the fund raiser or to donate a basket, contact Carlene Rhea at 860 693-6938.

With the support of the community, the League of Women Voters of Canton encourages informed and active participation in government. Unaffiliated with any political party, the league hosts Candidates’ Nights, encourages voter registration, publishes a “Know Your Town,” and studies public policy issues. It recently completed a study of mental health services in the Farmington Valley. The League welcomes new members. Men and women of all political parties or unaffiliated are invited. “Know Your Town,” the mental health study and membership information are all available at the League of Women Voters of Canton’s new website: http://lwvcanton.org
