1. What is the fee to connect to the sewer?

It is based upon the actual date of a building permit. Please click here to see the current rate.  

2. What is the annual sewer use charge?

It is $285 per home, condominium, apartment (dwelling unit) etc.

3. What is the sewer fee based upon?

A flat rate of $285 per dwelling unit. For business or commercial establishments, the charge is based upon actual water consumption.

4. When are the sewer bills sent out?

The sewer bills are sent out every October for residential homeowners and condos.

5. Why do I get two sewer bills?

If you own a multi-family housing property that has for example three apartments, you receive two bills with the annual charge of $285 for each unit or a total of $855. Any sewer use charge that exceeds $500 is billed in two equal installments. One half of the bill is due in October, with the second half of the bill due in April.

6. Where is my septic tank located?

The Water Pollution Control Facility does not have records of any septic tank location.

7. Does the Wastewater Treatment Facility have records of where my sewer is located?

Yes, in most cases we can locate the sewer pipe.

8. Where do I pick up a sewer connection application and what is the procedure?

Presently, you must stop at the Wastewater Treatment Facility from 7am to 3:30pm.
