LOCATION
The Canton Transfer Station is located on Ramp Road.  From Route 44 or Route 179, turn onto Route 202 as if you are going to Torrington.  As soon as you cross the bridge, take a right hand turn onto Powder Mill Road and an immediate left onto Ramp Road.  The Transfer Station is at the end of this road on your right.   

HOURS
The Transfer Station is open Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

USER FEES 
Transfer Station passes and tokens can only be purchased at the Town Clerk's office, 4 Market Street, Collinsville.  Click here if you wish to make your purchase by mail.  There is an annual charge of $80 to residents for use of the Transfer Station.  New residents (within the past month) or those residents who document that they have suspended private collection services may purchase the annual permit sticker on a pro rata basis as follows:

Between January 1 and March 31 $80.00
Between April 1 and June 30 $60.00
Between July 1 and September 30 $40.00
Between October 1 and December 31 $20.00

BULKY WASTE

a) Once a resident is permitted, there will be a fee charged based on the vehicle type at the time of each bulky waste drop-off. The schedule of type of vehicle and fees is as follows:

b) There will be a charge for “white goods” as well as tires:

White Goods with Freon	$25. each
White Goods without Freon	$5. each
Regular Tires	$5. each
Truck Tires	$15. each

c) There will be a charge for brush, limbs and leaves:

*Between Dec 26 and Jan 31 Christmas trees can be dropped off free of charge

Money will not be accepted at the Transfer Station. Tokens must be bought at the Town Clerk’s Office and redeemed at the Transfer Station at the time of your bulky waste drop-off. Tokens will be sold in $5 increments.
