Plan of Conservation and DevelopmentPlan of Conservation and Development AdoptedThe Planning Commission held its own public hearing on Wednesday, September 3 before unanimously approving the plan at their regular meeting on Monday, September 8. Previously, a special town meeting and public hearing was held on Tuesday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. to gather input on the draft update of the POCD. A second public hearing was held on for Monday, August 25 at 7:30 p.m. The Planning Commission waited at least 65 days before acting on the plan and held public hearings before voting. This schedule allowed for separate opportunities for public comment early and late in the review period, including three public hearings this summer, to avoid conflicts for residents’ summer vacation schedules, and met the statutory timeline for action.
