The Planning Commission examines, approves or rejects all applications for subdivision of land within the Town. It reviews and makes recommendations for municipal improvements such as streets, parks, playgrounds, schools, land acquisition, sewer and water extensions. It prepares, adopts and amends the Plan of Conservation and Development, a statement of policies, goals and actions for the physical and economic development of the Town. To insure conformance with the Plan, the Planning Commission reviews changes to zoning regulations and the zoning map.
