About Canton’s Economic Development Agency


EDA Mission:

To foster and support economic development to make Canton a better place to live, work, raise a family, conduct business, and enjoy a high quality of life.

The Purpose of Canton’s EDA:

  • Conduct research into the economic conditions and trends within the agency’s municipality;
  • Make recommendations based on research for the improvement of economic conditions and foster optimum development strategies within the agency’s municipality;
  • Coordinate economic activities of and cooperate with unofficial bodies organized to promote economic development and sponsor, fund, and support activities to further this purpose.

The Canton Economic Development Agency is a volunteer agency appointed by the Board of Selectmen to assist businesses and plan for the economic well being of the Town.

Regular agency meetings are held at the Library/Community Center at 40 Dyer Avenue. Please refer to the Economic Development Agency Members & Meeting Information page for current meeting schedules.
