11/2/2013 - *Neighbors Helping Neighbors Day-Nov 2

17th Year for Canton's Neighbors Helping Neighbors Day

         Focus on Canton is looking for jobs and volunteers for its 17th year of Neighbors Helping Neighbors Day, which is on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013, from 8:30 am to 2 pm. Volunteers sign in at the Canton Community Baptist Church, 125 Dowd Avenue, Canton, CT. 

         Canton residents who need help with a household job can apply by calling Co-chairs Kathy Corkum at 860-693-8612 or Cynthia Politano at 860-693-1210 with their name, address, phone number and the work to be done. Jobs might include raking, window washing, weeding, dump runs, simple painting, turning mattresses, changing draperies, etc.

         Focus on Canton also needs volunteers for the event to sign up by calling either of the Co-chairs (at above telephone numbers). More information is at www.focusoncanton.org/neighbors.htm, as well as, a link to the volunteer liability waivers. Canton's residents appreciate the time you donate.  

         Focus is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Tax-deductible contributions may be made out to Focus on Canton, Inc. and sent to P. O. Box 853, Canton, CT 06019. Donations are accepted to help Canton residents with personal and community needs not otherwise met.
