Route 44 Lane Closure in Avon

The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced the installation of a water main at Route 10/202 (Simsbury Road) in the town of Avon which began August 26, 2013.

This project will be ongoing until October 7, 2013, with work hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Motorists can expect alternating traffic. Avon Police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
