Gift Basket Raffle at Flatbread to Benefit Canton League of Women Voters

Selections of teas and wines, art supplies, fitness equipment and personal training, children’s gifts – these and more gift baskets will be raffled off at a Canton League of Women Voters fundraiser from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tues. April 9 at Flatbread pizza, in The Shoppes at Farmington Valley.

In addition, Flatbread will donate a portion of that evening’s restaurant sales to The League. And there’s no need to stay there to dine  – you can take your pizza home.

The fundraiser will help The League to continue its efforts to engage Canton residents in their government and community through programs that include annual Candidates Nights and publication of voter guides, high school senior voter education and registration drives, in-depth studies on topical issues, public forums on civic issues and more.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization of men and women, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
