Canton Land Trust’s Annual Dinner will feature talk on archaeology of Lighthouse Community

The Canton Land Conservation Trust invites the public to its Tues. March 19 Annual Dinner featuring a talk by anthropologist Dr. Kenneth Feder on "An ‘Ever Widening Circle’: The Archaeology of the Lighthouse Community, Barkhamsted.”

The evening will begin at La Trattoria with a 6 p.m. silent auction and cash bar, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and Dr. Feder’s talk at 8 p.m. The cost is $40 for members, $45 for non-members and $20 for the talk only.

Dr. Feder has taught in the Department of Anthropology at Central Connecticut State University since 1977 where he is a full professor. His primary research interests include the archaeology of the native peoples of New England and the analysis of public perceptions about the human past. He is the founder and director of the Farmington River Archaeological Project, a long-term investigation of the prehistory of the Farmington River Valley.
