On Sunday, August 19, The Farmington Club will be the location of the 12th annual charity motorcycle ride and car show to benefit Special Olympics. The event organizers have worked with the State of Connecticut to obtain road closures in Farmington and surrounding towns.
Farmington Route Information
Route 4 east bound will be closed from 12 noon to 1 pm between Route 179 in Burlington and Town Farm Road in Farmington. Route 4 west bound will be open from Town Farm Road to points west for thru traffic and emergency vehicles.
Detours will be in place prior to the road closure. Primary detour routes will include: River Rd., Meadow Rd., Red Oak Rd., and New Britain Avenue.
Police officers will be stationed at major intersections to assist people with detour directions.
