3/19/2020 - Canton Fire/EMS and Police Dept Update - 03/19/20
As the primary Emergency responders in Town, the Canton Fire & EMS Department and the Canton Police Department are taking steps to prevent unnecessary exposure/spread to not only ourselves but also the citizens we protect.

*We are here responding to all calls 24/7 as we always have been and will continue to do so.
*Some routine complaints may be handled over the phone
*Please don’t be alarmed if we respond to a medical call dressed in additional personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, mask, googles, gown, and face shields. Many times this is strictly precautionary.
*Evaluation will start with additional COVID-19 related questions from our 911 dispatchers to all callers.
*Out of an abundance of caution, we may use additional PPE even if all COVID criteria aren’t met.
*You may be asked to meet our members at your front door or even outside.
*Initial evaluation by our members may be done at a distance of 6 feet or more until we can further assess the situation.
*Depending on symptoms, we may ask you to wear a face mask also.
*Once again, these actions are out of an abundance of caution while we do our part to limit potential exposure.
*Please continue to follow recommendations from our local, state, and federal officials.
