1/21/2020 - With Sincerest Gratitude to the Canton Community

With Sincerest Gratitude.
Canton Senior and Social Services is once again grateful for the generosity of the Canton community. Through the endeavors of families, churches and neighborhood organizations, the 2019 Holiday Giving Program was able to help over twenty underprivileged families. The Holiday Giving Program could not exist without your care and support and for that we Thank You.
The Holiday Giving Program is just one of the programs intended for helping individuals during this season and was coordinated by our Senior and Social Services Director, Jessica DeMeo. There were a few different activities in our area that also helped families in need including "Gifts for Canton" through the Canton Chamber of Commerce which was supported by the "Stock the Cruiser" occasion held with the Canton Police Department. Needy families who were eligible were also able to obtain assistance through Gifts of Love as well as other local non-profit organizations.
All of the generous donations we received in Senior & Social Services helped Canton families in need and we offer our most profound appreciation to everyone who sponsored happiness this Holiday Season for struggling Canton families. We also want to recognize:

*Canton Adolescents Taking Action (CATA)
*Canton Board of Education
*Canton Public Schools
*Canton Public Works Union Employees (NAGE Local 198)
*the Carman's
*Cherry Brook Health Care Center

We are also fortunate to have received several generous donations for the Canton Emergency Fuel Bank (CEFB) and our Senior Center Holiday events such as our Winter Wonderland holiday celebration. Many thanks to the Collinsville Bank and the Archbishop's Annual Appeal.
There are others that may not be named who have donated anonymously by dropping off clothing, shoes, gift cards, and monetary donations and our Department acknowledges and appreciates you as well. The efforts of every one of our sponsors greatly appreciated by the Canton Senior and Social Services Department and the families we serve. Your dedication and support for our Community demonstrates compassion and inspires hope for those less fortunate.

Thank you for your involvement and we wish everyone Health, Happiness & Hope in the New Year.
