10/2/2018 - Canton League of Women Voters Fundraiser

Flatbread Fundraiser to Benefit Canton League of Women Voters

The Flatbread Company in the Shoppes at Farmington Valley will host the League of Women Voters of Canton for a fundraiser on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5 p.m. on. A share of all pizza sales – both from dining-in or ordering-out – will benefit the important community work of the League of Women Voters of Canton. Enjoy a pizza and buy tickets for the raffle of the Canton LWV’s famous baskets, donated by members. Each basket has a special theme reflecting the interests and taste of the donor. For additional information about the fundraiser or donation of a basket, contact Amy Peltier at peltier.amy@gmail.com .

With the support of the community, the League of Women Voters of Canton encourages informed and active participation in government. Unaffiliated with any political party, the league hosts Candidates’ Nights, encourages voter registration, publishes a “Know Your Town,” and studies public policy issues. It recently completed a study of mental health services in the Farmington Valley. The League welcomes new members. Men and women of all political parties or unaffiliated are invited. “Know Your Town,” the mental health study and membership information are all available at the League of Women Voters of Canton’s website: http://lwvcanton.org
