With its mission to promote informed voting, the League of Women Voters of Canton will again host a Candidates’ Forum on Tuesday, October 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Canton High School, 76 Simonds Ave. Invited to the event are candidates for the following municipal offices: Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, and the Board of Education. Candidates will make presentations and answer questions from the League of Women Voters and the audience.

Residents are urged to vote in the municipal election on November 7, 2017. Voting will take place in Canton at Canton High School.

With the support of the community, the League of Women Voters of Canton encourages informed and active participation in government. Unaffiliated with any political party, the league hosts Candidates’ Nights, encourages voter registration, publishes a “Know Your Town,” and studies public policy issues, including its recently-completed study of mental health services in the Farmington Valley. The League welcomes new members. Men and women of all political parties or unaffiliated are invited. “Know Your Town,” the mental health study and membership information are all available at the League of Women Voters of Canton’s website: http://lwvcanton.org
