Do you have a pile of books taking up space on your shelves that you have already read? 

Are your children's rooms getting crowded with books or DVD's that they have outgrown? This is a good time of year to clean out the clutter and help the Friends of the Canton Public Library. The Friends are holding a Book Drive from June 19 until August 25 . We are looking for gently used books, CD's, DVD's and audiobooks for our giant Fall Book Sale which will be held on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10.

All items must be in good, clean condition with no torn pages or underlining. Encyclopedias, Time-Life Series or magazines cannot be accepted. All items can be left in the program room of the library during normal library hours.

Each Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 in the program room of the library volunteers will sort the items to prepare for the book sale. All are welcome to come and lend a hand. This is a great way to help out, meet new people and find out what the Friends is all about. 

And don't forget mark your calendars for Sept. 9 and 10th for the Fall Book Sale. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds help support the library by providing resources and programs.
