LWV Coffee and Conversation with Canton’s First Responders

Learn about Canton’s full continuum of emergency services and how they are organized at the upcoming League of Women Voters’ Know Your Town: Coffee and Conversation featuring Canton’s First Responders. Police Chief Christopher Arciero and Fire Chief Craig Robbins will join league members and the public to discuss Canton’s police, fire and ambulance services at the Canton Community Center, 40 Dyer Ave., on Tuesday, April 11 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Room B. Free and open to the public, the informal informational session will cover the organization of emergency services, dispatching, response times, staffing training, roles of volunteers, and trends with opportunities for questions and discussion.

The League of Women Voters of Canton encourages informed and active participation in all levels of government. Unaffiliated with any political party, the league hosts Candidates’ Nights, encourages voter registration, publishes a “Know Your Town,” and studies public policy issues. It recently completed a study of mental health services in the Farmington Valley and is currently conducting a study of civic engagement. The League welcomes new members from Canton or any of the area towns. Men and women of all political parties or unaffiliated are invited.
